The “Action Prevents Ebola” project was designed to support unaffected poor income communities in Liberia prevent themselves from potential contact with the wide spreading Ebola Virus Disease. The project targeted first five community and later additional five large communities between with over Ten thousand residents.
In these communities, NRRI:
-disseminated official CDC flyers addressing signs, symptoms and preventive measures,
-provide food for local residents,
-install hygiene stations, and educate communities about proper hand washing.
